Back Pain Doctors

Back pain can be caused by a wide variety of factors, which means that the doctors who treat it often come from many different fields within medicine. Often the expertise for diagnosis and treatment of back conditions may lie within several different specialities including radiology, orthopaedics, rheumatology and pain management. This can lead to a disjointed approach.

At the Blackberry Clinic we have specialist physicians who are qualified in medicine and/or osteopathy, surgery, general practice and musculoskeletal medicine. These doctors hold specialist post-graduate Sports Medicine qualifications. They pride themselves on not only an accurate diagnostic approach, but the ability to treat the majority of patients using physical therapies or back pain injection for severe back pain. We have two state-of-the-art X-ray guided injection theatres on site, to allow for the rapid management of your back pain with minimal delay.

The injection therapies used at the Blackberry Clinic are taught by the International Spine Intervention Society (ISIS) which provides international teaching and support of the latest therapies and techniques. These may include caudal epidurals, facet joint injections, nerve root blocks and radio-frequency denervation. We also incorporate the latest therapies such as prolotherapy, autologous blood and PRP injections.

We have an international reputation for the management of back pain and patients from as far afield as Azerbaijan, America, Nigeria, Hungary and Zimbabwe have travelled to the Clinic for help with their back pain. We also provide support for several Premiership Football Clubs as well as the GB Olympic Rowing squad, among many national and international athletes.

We work closely with local radiologists who specialise in musculoskeletal problems to provide a seamless and efficient service. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us or book an appointment now.
