Hypnotherapy

Hypnotherapy is a natural and effective therapy for creating transformational changes in accordance with the client's desired outcomes. It empowers people to harness the power of their subconscious mind, resolve inner conflict, change existing negative behaviour patterns, and take personal responsibility for their own health and wellbeing.

This dynamic modality is not just about problems but about achieving effortless change and getting in touch with why you are the way you are, and becoming the person you ideally want to be.

An experienced Advanced Hypnotherapist will assist clients to cultivate their natural hypnotic abilities in order to conduct the therapy. Hypnosis is not a new experience to anyone. It's a phase we enter many times during the day usually without even realising it, and is referred to as 'day dreaming'.

The general consensus of opinion is that hypnosis is an altered state of consciousness not unconsciousness, which everyone experiences on a daily basis. It is a natural, safe and familiar process we enter into when drifting off to sleep and when waking up. When someone enters into hypnosis their state of consciousness changes to feeling relaxed and drowsy yet they are still awake, with enhanced awareness and control of their thoughts and actions. Because hypnosis is a natural phenomenon there are no unpleasant side effects. It is important to understand that you would never say or do anything whilst in hypnosis, that you would not do when fully conscious.

All hypnosis is self-hypnosis and has been practised for thousands of years. Its therapeutic use dates back to primitive times and is one of the oldest and most respected medical practices known to humanity. With the recognition that the mind and body are inextricably linked, the medical professions are increasingly recommending hypnotherapy to address a variety of behavioural, emotional and health problems.

Hypnotherapy is regularly used to manage acute and chronic pain, for burns, asthma, depression, high blood pressure, migraines, hay fever, IBS, and with cancer patients to relieve the side effects of chemotherapy and radiotherapy. It may also be supportive with the relief of many psychosomatic disorders as well as maximising ones potential in artistic, creative and sporting performance.
